WAISCOAT ALTERATIONS
The waistcoat is the slimmest garment in menswear and it is supposed to be cut with very little tailoring allowance as it is meant to have a very close fit. A well-tailored waistcoat “skims” the body without feeling too tight or showing any fabric pulling. 
There is typically an adjustable strap at the back to loosen the waistcoat, if required. If your waistcoat doesn’t not fit you correctly our Master Tailors will adjust the sides to ensure the waistcoat is snug and fits close to the body.
One of the most important elements of a well-fitting waistcoat is the length. It should fully cover the entire waistband of the trouser and never let any shirt fabric show in between. This means the trousers also need to be sitting on the natural waist. COAT ALTERATIONS
Our Master Tailor has the skills to alter your Coat or Jacket to achieve the perfect fit. To improve the fit of your coat or jacket we can take in the side seams or rear centre seam for a flattering fit. We can also shorten the length of your coat or sleeves ensuring the original stitch pattern, thread colour and any detail are matched perfectly. 
When shortening the sleeves of a coat we can offer two options. We can shorten from the crown (shoulder) or from the sleeve end. Working from the shoulder means that the cuff detail or ‘shams’ are not disturbed and consequently the design and proportions of the coat or jacket have remained original. We can narrow or ‘chip’ the shoulders of a coat for a neater fit or add pads to define the silhouette or even out a dropped shoulder. A ripple of excess fabric across the back neck area or ‘Square back neck’ can be removed by simply opening the back neck and shoulder seam, lifting excess fabric and re-stitching as original for a more complimentary fit on the body. We also specialise in Coat Relining. If your jacket or coat has a worn lining we can replace your existing lining with either a close resembling colour, or replace it with a colour of your choice adding more pockets or detail at your request. Zip replacement or buttons are of course basic alterations that we are happy to perform.

SHIRT ALTERATIONS
If you do not like the general fit of your shirt there are a number of shirt alterations that are possible. Shirt sleeves can of course be shortened – you just take off the cuff, cut down the sleeve and reattach (this can even be done from the shoulder if you want to retain the length of the placket). 
But sleeves with double cuffs can also be lengthened slightly. Depending on the brand, there is at least half an inch of inlay, which can be sufficient to give you that crucial exposure of cuff at the end of a jacket’s sleeve. Darts can be added to the body of a shirt, to narrow it at the waist and – depending on the run – alter the hips and a little of the chest. This will remove any excess fabric which can be annoying and unflattering to your figure.

RELINING
Our experience combined with creativity and attention to detail allows us to reline any type of coat to a very high standard. Our fully qualified and experienced tailors and seamstresses will replace your coat lining making sure that every detail is replicated precisely. 
We will ensure that after we have relined your coat you will be left with a finish that looks completely authentic. At your first appointment you will be offered to choose your new lining from a wide selection of luxury linings, or perhaps you would prefer us to help you find the perfect match for your coat. Whether you choose a lining of a similar colour and texture or decide on a contrasting colour with a luxury pattern, our tailoring specialists will be there to assist and offer their expert advice. We will, of course, make sure that the stitchwork, thread colour and every single detail are matched exactly from the original lining.
LEATHER ALTERATIONS
If your leather jacket, leather trousers or leather skirt does not fit you as it should or is ripped or damaged, then we have the skills to carry out the required alterations or repairs to the highest possible standard.

TROUSERS ALTERATIONS
For trousers that are loose or tight on the waist we can quickly and effectively reduce or increase size by adjusting the centre back seam. After a fitting with our Master Tailor we can also determine the perfect shape of the seat and raise or let down the fork when necessary. 
For a closer fit and neater silhouette we taper (narrow) trousers either fully or partly. For a subtle taper we would remove excess fabric from the inside leg seam. For a more drastic change we can reduce the leg width by removing fabric from both the inside and outside leg seams. We shorten trousers by hand so that the stitching is invisible from the outside. We can replace belt loops with more traditional side adjusters by using excess fabric from the hem of the trouser.

JEANS ALTERATIONS
Unfortunately, most Jeans and Denim garments stretch once they have been worn several times. Even if you were completely happy with the fit at the time of the purchase you might find that your favourite jeans have become too baggy and no longer fit you very well. Fortunately, our highly experienced, talented tailors and seamstresses can easily fix this. 
Whether you have bought a pair of classic light denim jeans or decided on a pair of heavier loom-state selvedge denim, we have the expertise to alter your jeans to perfection! We will understand your preference and help you find the perfect fit to match your body type. Our tailoring experts can carry out basic alterations like hem shortening or more complex alterations like changing the rise of your jeans, lowering the waistband, taking in or letting out the waist, or completely changing the cut of your jeans by turning your boot-cut pair of denims into a pair of fashionable skinny jeans. Rolling or cuffing your jeans looks a bit dated nowadays, and the proper contemporary fit demands a little bit of length that creates a small break, or, if you prefer, just grazes the top of your shoes. So if you are seeking the contemporary fit simply ask our tailor or seamstress to help you find the perfect length. If your jeans are too long but you don’t want to lose the original hem we are able to retain a pre-worn finish by cutting away the original hem and reinstating it at the required length. Whether we are simply shortening your jeans or tapering them (making more narrow) we will pay close attention that the original stitching and thread colour is matched perfectly. We can also replace lost jean buttons, rivets and repair tears or make general repairs.
